    hence asking questions now.

I like fix right the fist time. BUT seems like I ....ed it first time.

I might go put some silicone on and see it that works. (should have thought of that) or order metal screw if I still have a problem.

    thanks

will let you know how I go.

    Hi Graeme,

The other alternative is thread tape. Just three of wraps should fix the problem. That is all I did to mine. One other problem you may have is that there could be a nylon insert pressed into the bleed hole. They can come loose.

Also, I have been recommended that all
the 'spring' hose clamps be replaced with screw clamps, comments on this
    anyone?
Hah! I replaced my spring clamps with screw clamps in March when I replaced all hoses and in a couple of days many started to leak.
My theory is that the rubber compresses and the screw clamps then lose tension, while spring clamps are just that as they retain tension even after compression.

The spring clamps are a bitch to do up and undo, but you can buy a tool from China for $10-15 that makes it easy.
It still leaked with spring clamps but magically after about 1000KM of driving all the leaks stopped and my car has used zero water since April, and 18,000Km around Australia.

I think this is were my problems started.

I put some thread tape on and screwed her up. The plastic insert in the hose now spins nicely.

I think it is an after market hose.

Second hose certainly different from first.

I used the spring clips. I ended up buying a complete set of hoses. most came with spring clips.
