Thread: Pre-Purchase Inspection

Hi guys,

Shopping for a TD5 Auto D2 or D2a...got one in my sights in Adelaide. Does anyone know of someone that could do a pre-purchase inspection for me (as I live in Victoria). Preferably someone who knows a bit about them. It is located northern suburbs. Also what do y'all think is the going rate for these vehicles atm?

Can't help with the inspection, but I was shopping for one fairly recently. Prices vary widely, from around $7000 to about $18000, depending partly on condition, age and model, but also on the optimism of the seller.

Service and repair history is critical and can make a two to one difference in the price.

There seem to be a few about, so my advice would be to keep a look out and don't buy the first one that comes along. Preferably look at and drive several so that you get an idea what the range is.
