Just a wild guess: Crank Case Position Sensor?

They are cheap too on the TD5.

Thanks guys, there is engine speed reading on ECM live data around 250rpm though i dont know if that's enough for it to fire up... the strainer under the FPR is clean, is there a possibility for the FPR to not let any fuel to the injectors?...and then shouldn't the return presure be similar with the feed cos there's big difference?

    IDEEA!

I'm thinking to rule out any fuel supply or timing issue before i go too deep in electronic troubleshooting, so what do you think guys if i make an extension loom(i have the proper plugs from old looms) and connect my friend's engine to my car the engine must start doesn't it?

i mean the connection to the injector loom and crank the engines together so his engine will get the injector management from my car and it will crank on his starter... just for few second to see if it's alive or not ... am i missing something here?

The crankshaft position sensor signal from the other engine will be needed to get the injector timing correct.

I knew that it couldn't be so simple as i first thought... a BIG THANKS for that cos i can make an extension loom for that too...it's much easyer that chasing a wiring issue and i want to be 100% certain that the engine is OK before that

May need to check that the camshaft is turning - remove the front plug then use a torch and mirror.

tthanks... all the tests were(and will be) carried out with the rocker cover off anyway... we just hope to see oil spreaded all around

I know you're going to laugh...

    Crank angle sensor
Fuel Pressure (fit gauge where temp sensor is)
Check that the inertia switch hasn't tripped (firewall, passenger side on RHD)

i'm not, thanks for yout input, all these and many more were ruled out, ECM, BCU, IDM, engine bay fusebox, crank sensor swapped all from a D2 which works well, continuity check on crank sensor wiring with both sensors, resistances 1225 / 1204 which is ok for both... pressure gauge permanently in FPR fuel feed 5.2 bar, removed one injector and fuel spreads all around with ignition on, tried to bump start it to rule out starter interference with crank signal, starting robot on battery all the time...no joy, not even a puff of smoke.... that's why i'm so desperate

I'd look at that also, not just if it's tripped, might be shagged as well, mine failed.

I know you have a battery robot, but the battery still could be shagged, also I haven't seen anyone mention the throttle position sensor??
