    Front bar weight

As the front plastic bumper on the BSL is slowly cracking up,,
I was wondering if the front suspension copes with the added weight of a front bar? .

    Pete.
Mine sagged fairly noticeably when I put the bar on (ARB winch bar).
They tend to dive more under brakes too.
Not too bad though. Excuse to buy some nice suspension bits for it

I've seen a few D2s crack the spot welds on the radiator support / slam panel over the years. All had steel bull bars on.

    thanks all
I have just replaced the front shocks, so I have taken care of your help Roverlord

I think its a tossup whether I could find/buy/order a new set of springs just to cope with that extra weight,, I certainly dont wont to just buy hard springs off the shelf!

    any more advice?

This is on near new cars. LR issued a bulletin advising of the problem after a few repairs went through as warranty.

I got a new bar and a 2 inch lift at the same time. Told the supplier that I was getting the bar and he matched springs to suit.

When driving I would not even know it was there.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."
