I tighten my filter by hand and no more.
If I find it is too tight to remove, I just take my leather belt off and wrap it around the filter and twist it . It always works for me.

    Settle down pal.

Last time I bought a Ryco, it was around the $20 ish dollar mark at trade price, a complete service kit, as listed above, (both oil filters, fuel filter, air filter and sump plug washer) can be had for ?19 + freight.

    Do the math, cheep!

I try to use the Mahle filter as it's a bit shorter ... All the others foul the turbo oil drain return line which makes a filthy mess when removing the used filter.

Only ever tighten and remove by hand.
