Good idea. My headliner was originally grey not like the beige trim, so the finish looks just like it did before in my car. If you google Discovery 2 painted headliner there are some good pages on other sites as well as pics of different colour finishes to suit different tastes.

Just for everyones ref, i used 1ltr of primer from supercheap - like this :
Septone Primer Surfacer - Grey Acrylic, 1 Litre - Supercheap Auto Australia

and 2 cans of this for the finish
Septone Aerosol Paint - Stone Shield, Grey, 400g - Supercheap Auto Australia

Although not the roof lining, i painted my cargo barrier in White Night machinery gray which is a very good match for a D1 gray interior and should match a D2 as well.

The guy has a facebook site; look for RWilson Roof Lining Restoration.

    https://www.facebook.com/pages/RWils...60653217377010

I have rear a/c ducts and sunroof so unless you have a rear sunroof as well, they wont get more complex than mine.

His price was sitting between the three other quotes varying between $300 and $950 (who hadn't see the car) and that included that I asked him to take his time and even paid him to slow down and to do some inspection and work to seal up where the roof rails, sunroof and windscreen can leak. Which by the way, they don't now.

    very happy
