    Smile Alternative to Provent

    Hi, Does anyone know besides air filter being clogged a bit more any reason I can put engine breather on rocker cover to the air intake before the engine air filter instead of a Provent. How much more restriction would there be on filter?
    Motor has 185K, cant be any worse than going straight to intercooler.

    If yours breathes a bit of oil, it could certainly be worse.
    If the air filter is soaked in oil, it may loose its physical strength, as well as being blocked. Then it may not be able to resist the vacuum created when the engine is revving hard.
    Sucking the whole sopping mess into the turbo could ruin your day.

    There's nothing wrong with my car but I'm amazed at how much the Provent takes out.
