hey Steve , that's the best bit , !!! lololol
My 2001 has extractors on her .
The sensor is totally exposed ... an easy fix ..
    Call me a little V8 dumb ( I am an old 96 Diesel owner ) :-) but ....
I wondered why it was so exposed then I realized that the exhaust is not standard ... these extractors are way swept down away from the sensor , so it is really easy to see and get too

Chit , something has to start to go my way mate !!!
Today again 3 times stuck on the road side ... engine dead , work trailer on the back , all seemed again a total pain in the arse !!

...but the water cooling thing got her going in ten minutes !!

I am going to stay happy and just deal with it and wait till the new sensor shows up monday or tuesday ...

and thank my luck stars I still can go to work mate .
.. thanks to all again !!!

    cheers
    Steve

Result then, you have the answer now but better get a barbecue air blower and cool the sensor with it(switch it on and let it there in a position to blow on the sensor) instead of water cos excessive water ingress in the sensor can let you in a complete no start situation

Well the switch turned up early .
    Fitted it .
The thing wont fire at all now ... turns over but wont fire ?

weird thing is now the 4 hazard lights are flashing non stop ?
Think I will need to pull a fuse to stop the dam things ?

Anyone know why the darn hazards would come on the first time I tried to fire her with the new switch ?

    hellllpppp !!!

+1^^^ classic tripped inertia switch symptom, make sure you didnt pull it's plug while working on the sensor.
