Hello all,
I am looking at another Discovery 2, that has Pedders Air Suspension. Now Microcat has this car with coils springs, front and rear. So the question, is the Pedders air suspension any good? and how do you put the air in? at a service station or with an air compressor?

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.

Other than normal SLS this is the best way to run a D2.
There will be a normal schrader type valve on each that you can adjust pressures,, and yes, one side may take more than the other to be level,,
yes you will need to pump the airspring up using a servo/compressor.
and adjust it each time the gross weight changes,,
but the opposite, just using steel springs, is unthinkable with a load/noload/load/noload/load--

I am going to see the car on Saturday and I guess it is the one on the left as research says the other one is for leaf springs. Does this make a difference? Will the one on the left have a coil spring as well? or is it ok without?

I may not know much about the Discovery, but with the help from this forum I feel like (almost) quite the expert.
Others may be able to explain more correcyly. I have read (no direct experience as mine has SLS) that the airbag in the springs is to assist the spring rate and help carry the load. Eg move from x lb per inch movement to x+ y, where y is air bag assistance. Suppliers recommend air in then load in.
Yes - the Coilrites are pretty tough though...I have put air in after a 200kg load downforce because I was too lazy to remove the load first and no problemo...done that a few times actually, and the rear just raises up. They are a very good thing and offroad I have used mine with zero pressure and no pinching despite that the manufacturers say leave in a few psi (5 from memory) to stop pinching. I have used mine offroad many times with full articulation and no problem. This shot shows the bag in mine.

Does anyone else experience the wheel violently moving downward after compression when running airbags, not SLS. Or with SLS but please be specific which one you have.
