BMW trans with the valve body off will show on my trans which bolts to undo to drop valve body in one assembly.

There is 15 bolts that are easy to indentify these have a big head but be careful as these are all different lengths also using a 30 mm socket undo the nut on the 7 pin plug (same as BMW ) so may use the solenoids off that trans and the wiring loom too.

There are two bolts in the middle of the two valve blocks to undo there is also 3 valve blocks on the other side this is why you only undo the big head bolts there are a lot of balls and discs with different size holes in them so very important not to mix these up.

The other side of the valve bank this is why you must be careful especially if you are taking this off while still on vehicle.

Now this is the parking pawl and there are some screws to undo before turning the trans over to start on the other end so this has to come out to get to the screws

On the above screws as they are counter sunk these are very tight get a large pin punch and give the top of the heads a hit with the punch and hammer helps break the grip maybe a impact driver might help too.

Now before the pump and bell housing can come of and all the internals pulled out there are 7 circlips and springs with seals sitting behind these take note of where these come out as a couple of blind holes that they could fit into if not paying attention. Three at the rear and four at the top.

There is no actual circlip grooves and the springs are all the same. Now to remove the seals use a long self tapping screw. After double checking the above statement on Spring lengths are wrong the rear three are longer in length

Oil pump outer gear seized solid the gear drive dogs have half shorn off. That's me for the night food and shower.

The oil pump and A clutch pack is easy to remove undo the inner circle of bolts to remove the bell housing and pump in one hit or if you need to check the pump like I needed to remove all the bolts and lift off.

Next is the A clutch pack just lift out the centre may stay behind keep things in order here is a pic of the clutch pack and centre on my bench

Now to remove the B clutch pack there is a small circlip to small screw drivers are handy for this
