the lowest mine goes is 300 degrees. it does not register at idle. 400 degrees on flat freeway. This evening on a hill at 100km/h in cruise control it dropped to 3rd gear and EGT got to 650-700 degrees.
Imagine if it was fully loaded. It just doesn't seem right.
How long since you gave your intercooler a flush?
Would you PM me who did your tune?
I know of someone who ran a particular brand tune and it gave stratospheric EGTs.

I concur, no black smoke on standard map. I was getting black smoke on the remap after I backed the boost off. But there is no black smoke normally with the remap. Over fueling or more accurately under airing (under boosting) could explain the higher EGT and smoke with the remap.
With the factory map and factory tires I went for a test drive:
3500 RPM accelerating from 50 to 90 km/h
EGT = 710 degrees
Boost = 15 PSI
Not an unlikely scenario Land Rover would not have thought of.
I just don't know. EGT gauge could be wrong, 720 degrees max could be incorrect, boost could be too low.
I"m just going to have to test / calibrate my sensor and gauge before i can go any further.
That's crazy!
I run 265/75s

Egr delete
And even with the air con on with cruise I only see high 500's.
I don't like seeing it go over 550, so if ur into the 700's that's a problem.
I suspect ur gauge is iffy, I run a madman just for interest, but even in my d1 I ran cheap eBay egt gauge and didn't see that sorta carry on.
