    trick to replacing side mirror?

    Hi
My 2001 D2's Passenger side mirror ( Glass with backing plate) was knocked out by mirror hitting a branch at low speed on a track. Wasn't a big hit.
Mirror housing etc is fine - it swivelled and wasn't damaged
Heating connectors saved glass from being smashed as it just dangled
Mirror section looks all ok and I couldn't see any broken clips etc
looks like it snaps in ??
(i don't have my Rave CD nearby- its 300km away)
but I can't see how to make it click in
is there a trick to this ??

    cheers

You're right. It just snaps into place.

If it doesn't snap back into place the plastic adapter is probably broken but they only cost about $5-10 to replace so not a big deal.

There are a few Youtube videos on how to replace the mirror. It's fairly straightforward.

The clip should should look something like this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LAND-ROVE...wAAOSwX6VTyPcA

It's pretty easy for the clips to break on these.

Fit the clip to the back of the mirror first then push onto the mirror body.
if the clip is fitted to the body first it is near impossible to fit the glass
