I'll keep an eye if the bolts start to undo and I'll use a thread locker.

To be frank, if you *only* drive it on road my opinion is it would be OK, though as other said, I missed looking on the tablet and phone that they had used tapped holes.
If you take it anywhere off road where the front axle articulates, then I reckon you'll see that uni joint go pop. I reckon just about anything would be a concern for me, though particularly the ramp over at the end of climbs.
I reckon it's at enough of angle that you'll be replacing it on a regular basis anyway, on or off road.
In the UK we tended to use the DC joints to get more articulation and get rid of excess vibration at higher speeds with a lift, there is no way anyone with a DC would think of going back to a standard prop.
I'm with a few other voices, I just don't like the drilling of new holes in the flange, the threading of them, the lack of nuts, the wrong shaft, the loss of DC. I wouldn't trust the garage to do up my shoe laces from what I'm seeing.

Sorry, I try to be fairly gentle on here, but I don't like pretty much anything about this

Thanks man! I'll keep an eye on it every week. And once this one ever goes bad (gotta stay positive haha) I'll surely purchase a dc propshaft

Sorry mate...i know it's not what you want to hear but the D2 had a double cardin for a reason. I would be telling the shop that they got it wrong and you want a refund then stick in a DC shaft. Cheers

No, I wanted the single cardan. And so far it's doing fine. No vibrations. Talked to a mechanic that has been replacing dc for single propshaft for many years. Also I think there are many other 4x4 running single cardans without any problems. Why would the d2 can't?

Like others have said. It will be OK on the road. Off road it will be OK as long as the axle only goes up, as this improves the angle. When the axle drops (Particularly if both wheels drop - so don't jump you car! ) The angle will become too great and the uni's will likely bind.

The mechanic has a point but only when referring to Toorak tractors.

Neither can I properly - can only see small, very dark rectangle, no detail.

Yes, the tcase flange has been redrilled by the previous owner. That explain why the dc propshaft is not rebuildable, the original bearing didn't fit. Prob the previous owner did some mods?

Anyway did some greenlaning today. Everything wemt grrat. Will keep you guys updated
