I have a Fusion mechless and a Pioneer that is more high end. Both are one of the few head units I could find that take SD cards. The pioneer is a class act and sounds infinitely better than the Fusion but cost 5 times as much.

The Fusion unit seems to tick all my boxes, but is there a way to incorporate the steering wheel controls into its use ?

If not, any suggestions as to what else has the same functions as the Fusion BT unit but can also use the steering wheel controls ?

This one will use the steering wheel controls without the need for adapter

I have a HSE wheel...but not a HSE. Has anyone checked to see if the loom is there to connect up to the wheel controls. The Kenwood came with a little remote that my daughter likes using from the back seat.

    Cheers

Nice unit but nearly 4x the price of the Fusion ... and USB is via a cable from the rear, has no SD card, but its feature set is pretty impressive !!

I have a JVC KD_R926BT, Was in when I got the vehicle and has performed well. Has a CD that is hidden behind the drop down face plate. Front and rear usb, aux, , Bluetooth, up to 2 phones can connect, remote, steering wheel control ready, Plus heaps of other bells and whistles . Have found it plays CDs over most corrugations, not that I use them much anymore, have a 64gb usb stick on the rear in Oh and can change the back lighting to the green! or any other garish delight that takes your fancy
    Cheers Scott

Hmm, This appears to be the closest in their current line up http://www.jvc.net/au/car_audio/cd_receivers/kd-r862bt/
