Circuit board on key fob is fried? I bought a new 1 on eBay & got it coded. No issues now. Whole exercise did cost me about $120-$150ish

It is possible that the Sender unit has become detached from it's location. However if it has failed you will either have to get a new pump which comes complete with the sender unit or source a replacement sender which I don't think you can buy separately new, but I may be wrong. If you can get one it is a fairly easy job to replace.

Yes both times I put sealant in the corner of the D bit. Although, mine seemed to leak else where, back corner drivers side. Not wishing to speak too soon, but I'm hopeful that it had a lot to do with the rubber grommets. My original ones were very hard and a lot thinner than the new ones, which were quite pliable. Plus the new ones seemed to hold the gasket on very well once I turned it upside down.
[QUOTE=John_D2;2685494]So...turns out the fuel gauge decided to stop working at 1/4 full. Although I've never had an issue with it, turned out that 1/4 was bone dry. [/hi]
Welcome to the club ! :)
Mine is the same ... Sits above full for 200km, full is 3/4, 3/4 is 1/2, 1/2 is 1/4, and below 1/4 is reserve (where the fuel warning light is supposed to come on - mine has only ever come on when the key is turned on and the dash lights do the light up and go off one by one ... ).
Lat trip I ran the gauge down to 1/2 way between 1/4 and E and when I filled I put in 94.33L ... cutting it fine.
Don't know what it is about some auto door opening sensors but the same thing happened twice with my old D2A
Was on the way out to dinner Friday night when the fuel light came on
Having lots of time up my sleeve, I stopped off at the servo on the corner of Lygon and Elgin st Carlton and parked right outside the door
Couldn't see any diesel pumps so popped in to ask the chap at the desk. Nope , no diesel
Having a wallet and phone in the car , I recall trying to remote close but not seeing the 3 lights flash
Came back out , hit the remote to open. Nothing.
Opened the door , alarm goes off!!
Rolled it away from the door and still no success so had to do the key combination reset
It worked
I have parked right outside numerous auto opening door sensors and had no problem for the last 18 months
Is there a way of shielding the immobilizer or do I just make a mental note not to park near any auto opening doors
Yep, really easy to bleed thank goodness... and while we're on the subject ... Is the tank 93 or 95L as I've seen both figures quoted ... ?
Plus whatever extra I would get in as I always squeeze it to the brim rocking it a few times to max' each fill.
Time to check the manual again ...
