plan A is too hard, back to plan A.
getting a signal emulator
Did the fuel cooler orings again with viton orings using two in each of the slots.
Also had bearings ready to replace in the idler pulley and tensioner.
Pulled the tensioner off and noticed it wasn't serviceable and the two halves where cocked. Idler pulley bearing wouldn't budge! Didn't have access to a press and going away tomorrow so nothing like leaving it to the last minute!!!
So off to the parts store and purchased one of each genuine units.
Installed and all running great with no leaks or squeal from the bearings[emoji106][emoji106]
Do we have a definitive number on how much less time a comp will last if it's run?
Water pumps have a finite life. Do you turn yours off? Your alternator? Your gearbox? It's a service item, eventually. Like everything else. Saving a few thousand ks vs comfort, clear windows and seals that don't go dry because you forgot.
If anyone has a clear and definite reason, rather than "it's just what I do", I'd be pleased to hear it.
