Bought mine from Radum online, you still need to adapt and make a couple of press blocks though the ones in the kit just aren't ideal and 4lb hammers are a must.
The link that Lemo posted is helpful.

It’s hydraulic... that bolt is creating pressure inside the ram..

there is this site here that hires out LR tools.

Land Rover V8 4.0L Ball Joint Removal & Installation Tool Kit – Mechanics Tool Hire

Not sure if that is the correct one per rave.

That skinned knuckles video was enough to convince me to pay to have it done. Cost me $800 to do all 4 including the LR ball joints. I was told when I picked it up that it was the hardest set they had done. He had 2 guys on it for total of 8 man hours.

So glad I didn't try it myself. I figured by the time I bought a tool I would probably never use again, and the ball joints the $800 sounded reasonable. Plus trying to do that with the car on jack stands, just wasn't an appealing way to spend my weekend.

Noticed old mate didn’t replace the axle seal and was a bit rough installing the axle. Wonder if it leaked?

Couple on mine about due. Wonder if a gear puller + suitable voids might do it?

Won’t stand a chance if they’re in there tight!

I didn’t change the seals when I did mine - just re-applied grease before assembly - they were in great condition...

No leaks What happened to your Discovery 2 today?
