    Flat battery

    Went for a drive about 100klm to the Murray River, parked the car, went to start it about 4 hrs later, flat battery,
    Load test showed battery ok just flat.disconected the battery and charged with another car running 20 mins,however when reconnecting the battery it sparked at the battery terminal indicating a large power drain,nothing on the car was using power, the sparky suggested the diodes in the alternator may be kaput.
    Is this possible? I know nothing about auto electricals.

    There is a thread in here(somewhere) about testing battery drain,, you pull fuses untill the drain stops?
