I'm a lot more careful than that incident would suggest. The car was in the hands of others, who left it exposed while they were away from the shop!
At least they then came to the party with a contribution to the excess for the insurance claim.

Plus, the right angled OBDII cable you made up for me some time ago was in the other car and is still in service.

Looking at those images of the crap that had built up in the engine it is No wonder that I have had to spend so much time and money replacing and repairing all the other items that have stuffed up on this truck over the last couple of years that I have owned it.
This could be put down to neglect Or it could be put down to the sales hype of only needing to change the oil every 20.000k's which is what I have been told was the service interval recommended for this particular model.
As changing the oil on a 4WD every 20,000k's is a stupendously stupid idea I am thinking WTF were Landrover thinking by coming up with this ridicules service interval?

Installed a 3.1amp smart charger. Requires centre console out. Piggy backed off the cig lighter and also ran a twin flex run to the rear of the console ready for another usb charging port there for back seat passengers. D2 now fully up to date charging wise...

    Cheers

Considered replacing the coin tray? You can fit 3 in there.
