Mate considered it but I like that tray for odds and sods. I have 4 fast ports in the front between the Anker fast charge plug in jobbie and the twin port I just installed. Cheers

I bought some upholstery cleaner stuff and some polish to tart the old girl up a bit and 10l of oil ready for her first oil change after the head gasket replacement at 5,000k.
I just need to knock off the 5,000k now, I can feel another Sharks Bay trip coming on that should do the job![]()

My D2 V8 has been leaking coolant fairly badly from the rear passenger side head gasket. I'm not in a position to afford the cost or time off the road, so (flame suit on) I tipped a couple of tablespoons of pepper into the coolant, I've been towing a trailer all day in the Darwin heat and I have lost a drop, Hopefully it lasts a couple of months till I can do the gaskets. Its only a temporary fix try at your own risk lol.
Cheers, Mick.
removed the headliner to re-seal sunroofs (and replace drooping fabric)
Found one of the sunroof frames rusted through and a couple of blocked hoses - explains the water stains on the head liner LOL
Now on the hunt for a wrecking D2 with sunroofs for bits LOL

Are you sure the coolant is leaking from the head gasket?
The two small hoses that go into the fuel heater are just above passenger side head and these are often a problem as is the cooler itself.
If you have affected a temporary fix in the head gasket a low water alarm or even an accurate temperature gauge is cheap insurance because by the time that factory gauge reads Hot it is Far too late.

Yes moves at 121 degrees C from memory which as Trout says is way too late. Cheers
Mine (2000) starts to move at about 105 and is at the red line at roughly 110-115.
It varies a bit tho.
Only time I've seen at or over 120 is only the once when I stopped, cooled it down a little with water over the rad at idle .. watching the temp drop before switching it off.
