Ventured the deepest I’ve ever been into an engine before. I changed the injector washers and o rings of my 15p TD5.
I know a lot of you are mechanics but I’m learning and gaining more confidence and life skills. Job done in 4 1/2 hours. It took me ages to work out how to remove the injectors without a $400 injector removal tool. Ended up using a rocking pry bar. Very successful and only took seconds. A good $30 for 4 bars investment.
Thinking about buying a 2nd hand transfer case and rebuilding it. That should be an experience and a learning curve.
Removed the front prop shaft!
This did not take too long, [bigsmile1] as I have done this before. [bigsad] Where can I get 9/16 nylock nuts from? I'm not including Bunnings as an option. Western Suburbs of Melbourne. Any ideas?
Thanks
Julian

The best advice I can give anyone doing mechanical stuff is cleanliness, cleanliness, cleanliness and have a clear plan prior to starting the job and take your time.
Don't let anyone or anything rush you.
John I’m in Brisbane mate and have standard dials and finger dials plus mics and verniers
