Well today I joined the hearing aid club. What a difference !!!
Drove home from the Audiologist, a distance of about 4km, threw the bonnet up and put the acoustic cover back on the engine. MUCH better [bigsmile1]

My wife did this a month or so ago, now the volume is at a bearable level when DVDs are on.
She has a doodar that plugs into tv and she wears a thing around her neck and it goes thru her hearing aids [emoji2] and tv can be muted but she has full audio in her ears, amazing stuff lol
6 thousand dollar hearing aids from audiologist.
Widex evoke 220 is the brand of hearing aid, and tv thing is tv-dex.
Hearing aids are like a nanocom, audiologist unlocks codes to enhance the aids.
That's what she wears around neck.

Sometimes I think I'm mad to have bitten into the landy pie again ... then I remember how much fun it is to tinker with then and adjust a vehicle to my own needs and I realise I'm addicted. Oh dear.[emoji106]
I don't have your issues with overheating, but I'm interested in learning more about cooling as it's often an issue with European cars in Aus.
Learning more each day about my toy by reading reading reading.
On a different note, I think I have to get new springs as the back looks far lower than the front (will measure this weekend) after having to turn a 3t caravan around for a relo a few weeks ago. Thinking of kings +2 as standard height is ok, but would prefer a bit more and happy with a softer ride to keep the boss happy(ish).
The hottest the coolant got, according to the nano com was 95C when the outside temp is 46C idling at the traffic lights with the air con on.
My car is stock standard.
I may add a bigger intercooler but hey it might take a while.
For the first month I've only got the basic functions set until I get used to them. When I go back he'll give me the dongle and enable access to the various programmes via Bluetooth. He explained that while my hearing was going south the sound processor between my ears gradually retrained itself to cope until it reached the limits of my ears and I now need to retrain for corrected hearing without giving me the tools to totally stuff things up - which I'm likely to do...[bigsmile1]
To get back in the D2 track. It's quite noisy with that great lump of a Td5 clattering and rattling away. Good thing is that it hasn't brought to light any hitherto unheard noises. Up until now I didn't think the acoustic cover made that much difference. WRONG...[bigsmile1]
Replaced the height sensor & noticed that the inside of the wheel was oily. Turned out to be the wheel bearing o ring. Did notice an insect home. Weird place to raise your young tho. The o ring isn’t too bad and the bearing feels fine. Someone said to just use gasket sealer, so I’m doing that.
Really hope I don’t get slammed for fixing it wrongly!!
