Not mine , but did a rescue on a TD5 this evening, surging, pretty undriveable. Replaced with new Waste gate modulator valve and all is sweet again. Must be a very common problem with the TD5s, we sell a lot of modulators.

Purchased the APT steering guard bash plate. Currently on the Linehaul :D:D
Loctited the hell outta of the 2 rear new downpipe bolts because i learnt even for the 2nd time since ownership the little td5 can rattle anything loose..
Rebuilt front tailshaft as a precaution and fitted an APT steering guard.
A low budget (and illegal) version of LPG enhancement, I've heard of someone doing this decades ago where the gas bottle sat in the passenger seat and the driver reached over and opened the bottle tap. May cause melt downs if taken to extremes. You'd have to ask where the BBQ bottle was carried and what happens with it in an accident. Real versions are expensive but better calibrated and fillable at regular service stations because they use properly mounted LPG tanks. :)

Had a bath and had it's black bits blackened. - That turtlewax black stuff is awesome!
I second this!
started coolant hose job, but didn't finish it, issues with hoses and a corroded outlet housing.
But I did manage to replace my power steering lower pressure hose as the metal was nearly rubbed through..
A bit of a PIA. Tip for anyone doing it. Buy the o-ring so you can remove the outlet fitting on the pump. The replacement hose doesn't include it, so you need to remove the hose clip thing on the pipe, up by the pump. It is basically impossible to do. I ended up having to remove the outlet fitting, so I could get the hose off it. Other thing to note, is how the hose it routed before you remove it. Took me a while to work out how it went back up to the reservoir.
