Two days to go before the RWC check, and the SRS light decided it needed to be on.... Instant fail, of course... I wonder if my gremlins with the RF receiver and now the SRS could be a result of moisture. Car has been sitting for years, the passenger side floor is damp and now there is life and warmth....
RAVE really isn't bed time reading material... unless you are sierraferry of course.

I was looking for the torque figures for the cooler pipes and found this. It was on the UK land Rover site. he apparently lost his transmission because of it. My Orings are pretty new so should not have perished as the old ones were still looking fine. So it looks pretty common.

    Hi you guys

A WARNING TO ALL YOU GUYS.

The cooler connections to the oil pump behind the bell housing have a nasty habit of coming loose and undone due to the O ring perishing. It's not a problem if you are in a town or going slowly around a town but it could be catastrophic on an autoroute at 80mph and a very expensive tow in and fix. So do check your connections are secure and tight and preferably replace the O rings. Notwithstanding this you'll lose all of your expensive ATF Dexron 3 over the underside of your D2 and roadway.

    Regards PhilipA

maybe check the plugs under the seats, when knocked accidently they can make the SRS light come on.

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.

they are wise to that, It must illuminate when key on and extinguish on starting.

They are VERY wise to that..

Don't think that trick, clever as it is, will work on the D2 circuitry...

Hmm, maybe my D1 cluster,, no, forget it.
