*Just noticed it was a TD5
Also noticed it was the non turbo model, so gutless as well as a kettle, personally a very over rated conversion into any vehicle, they would have been better with a decent tune on the TD5 and have an extra $20K to maintain the Disco...

    cheers

I been checking about 3 times a day since I paid for it (must get a life.....oh, wait, I have a rundown disco 2 so no money for a life)

I believe I have wasted my money coz I think it may be better than the high comp versions (as yours is low comp and you seem happy), but arthur still needed that tune change to stop it farting around at highway speeds. Does your later numbered one perform ok at highway speeds?

Next time I look at a car I will just go spend my meagre money on hookers.
I've had no issues like Arthur has had originally. I did a few runs copying his testing and had no dramas holding on in CC. In fact mine changed up from 3 to 4 going
up a 20m over 500m hill with about 25psi boost and moderate acceleration.

Don't forget the 4.0 V8s in the D2s are running at 136Kw and 340nm torque.

If you can replicate that or do better you should be okay.

TRS quote a 30% improvement in power and torque so you should be okay.

I'm probably running at about 140+ Kws and 400+ nm with the Stage 2 ECU,hybrid turbo, D2a intercooler and 3" exhaust system.

I'm sure it'll be worth the wait...

May be I think too much... Water Carrying

Maybe not too much but not well (sic)

Had a thought, been thinking about water carrying for weekends away and this has usually been carting a 20 litre carrier in the back. After Changing the rear bulbs to LEDs in the tail lights and changing the SLS filter in the rear pillar, hmmmm there's a good spot to carry water and have been searching for a suitable bladder to go in there. Sure it goings to require a water inlet (got one already from Mud) and a brace to hold it in but may have found it. Really don't need that much water on the weekend trips as the majority of it I use is preflavoured and in burgundy cans...

have always intended to put a tap to the left of the tailgate hinge to swing out when camping and back in when travelling but do you see any issues with carrying water there?????

The ceramic coated manifold looks awesome, almost too nice to stick in an engine bay.

With mine I've finished up installing a dashcam and a reversing camera at the rear. Camera is mounted hanging off the top brake light inside, you wouldn't think it but following the factory loom back to the front the 6m cable was 30cm too short and I had to extend it.

Stuck the headlining fabric back down to the base with double sided carpet tape. Was like driving a Jeepney before, but now I can actually see out the windscreen again when I drive.
