Threaded Hose Pipe and VNT control
Not sure this has happened to me before but the intercooler pipe clamp which has been recalcitrant to say the least, revealed its secret today, the thread half way up was cactus

Sure this was an SAAS clamp but still, it wasn't as if it was keeping the hose on due to the tension and the replacement has already come off twice. Source better quality one today a must.
So got delivery of the VNT vacuum controller, it is ridiculous how little information there is out there regarding this, lots of waffle and no firm advice. The Dawes valve setup etc. is the most prevalent and suppose pertinent but finding a controller that actually said it was a VNT vacuum controller and a set up similar to the Dawes valve setup with Vacuum source, pre turbo, post turbo and actuator connections, priceless.
Well not priceless they are about $200!

Although I am having boost issues (cant boost past 28 psi) which appears to be a MAP issue, the fact the controller was able to limit the boost rise rate has at least the car to be drivable so can put the foot down somewhat without it hitting the limit at around 2500 which requires you to lift off so it can change up a gear. Should add, the unit I got has not got the knurled knobs but screw down, not nearly as easy when driving.
