Simple little job to replace the leaking coolant hose I cobbled up from the radiator to front rail when relocating the EWP. Got it out and measured it, cut the Magna hose and back in, not a drop out of it now. The EWP is a bonus in this situation, manually put it on and it pulses slowly and after 5 minutes, no more bubbles.
Also replaced the drive belt damaged when the intercooler pipe blew off and gouged it badly. No more rattles from the tensioner.
Hour and a half of peak hour traffic and more confidence in the cooling system, EWPC barely getting to 95C and rarely putting on the fan. Out with the 4WD mates, planning a week long trip to Robe and watching their last trip, talking it up and being reminded, the Disco better not put a foot wrong
The whole return trip home in just 45 minutes and the fan did not come on at all with the temps sitting at 90C most of the way.
A little more boost and now hitting just above 26psi, pleased to to see the EGT kept further in check and hooning just a bit, really good to get a couple of tonne Land Rover lifting its skirts and touching the rev limiter. This was just testing the cooling system, who am I kidding, it was for fun!!
So for tomorrow, ready for a trip to Moe tomorrow and some 4wd tracks and finally put proper dirt under its wheels for the first time.
