Can’t help you with the fitting info sorry
I used to do all my own work and never took my cars to a workshop because I also wanted to make sure the job was done correctly, that all ended 3 years ago when my left arm got smashed up in a head on collision.
I can still do oil/filter changes and other basic work on the truck like fitting a snorkel But if the work involves the use of both hands I am buggered, Luckily I have complete faith in the Landrover workshop in town and I haven't got any "Trust" issues with them

I had the situation a couple of years ago where I put my car in for a reseal of the LT230, the place claimed the auto fluid was low and topped with Dex3 thus diluting my hard won high percentage of Transmax Z. One would think they could tell the difference between red and green. And you wouldn't know until something went wrong or next time you checked the level.

    I would rather DIY.

I’m in a similar opinion as you Phillip. Trusting someone to do the right thing is becoming more and more difficult. I can sleep better when I know it’s done correctly. What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

I had a full day off!
So I changed the silly locking wheel nuts to normal ones bought of Roverlord.
First problem, the rinky-dinky nut cover remover was broken. The use of a large spanner fixed that.
Second problem, He-man or someone with a super power air gun put them on. Got one of my staff who is 6'4" & full of muscles to undo them.
I now have 1 shinny & 4 dull marked nuts on each wheel & all those silly locking nuts are in the bin along with the cover remover & nut remover.

Fitted Sand Grabber matts, look nice & much better than bare carpet. Young Wilma did a good job with the Vacuum. Ian V8 will remember him.

Fitted all new windscreen wipers from Roverlord which was easy as except the passengers side one took a bit of effort, WD40 & swearing to unlock.

In-between all that I fitted the new (bloody expensive) seat covers to all 8 seats of SWMBO's Delica.
    Bugger of a job.

Roverlord will shortly be able to retire due to this D2.

Tomorrow a wash & wax is planned after a Birthday party for 1 of the kids.

I will remind him he's "A good kid" when he's being an idiot.
I told him you mentioned him on here, he said "The man with the big beard".

Fair go mate, you were 13 once; it may have been before Mr Oswald took pot shots at Jack, but I bet you did some idiotic stuff.

Maybe next time you have the wheels off swap all the new ones onto the one wheel? I did and don't notice it being odd!
you also did the spare didn't you? Hope so if you threw the lock nut remover out!!

What I may or may not have done as a 13 year old is way past the Statute of Limitations.
