EPC DVD 2012
the parts catalogue 2012 is now 6 years old so a lot of part number are now superceded. Land Rover no longer uses these they have moved to the JLR EPC system. (Jaguar /Land Rover EPC)
The trade price for the license to use this is approx $700 a year to use. It is live and updates all the time with latest models of land rovers and jaguars.

Ah Muppet, is time Orange dragged itself into the twenty-first century.
Good workshops now have a machine that is connected into the cooler line of the transmission. it reverse pumps new fluid into the system, cleaning the filter simultaneously. The great advantage of this bit of kit being, every drop of ATF is replaced, no old fluid remains in the TC or cooler.

SubscriberHmm, It's not that I don't trust Auto transmission shops but If I bought along my $95 for 4 litres Transmax Z how could I be sure that they used same to flush the transmission ? Ditto Lifeguard 6. Consider the recent post about Auto problems with a D3.
I had the situation a couple of years ago where I put my car in for a reseal of the LT230, the place claimed the auto fluid was low and topped with Dex3 thus diluting my hard won high percentage of Transmax Z. One would think they could tell the difference between red and green. And you wouldn't know until something went wrong or next time you checked the level.
I would rather DIY.

Trust Philip, along with basic mechanical knowledge, the greatest asset a mechanic can have. I was very fortunate to find my fellow just after Blknight left town.
To demonstrate how honourable this business is; a mechanic friend was deployed OS with the ADF when his wife blew a head gasket on their Falcon (yes, I was shocked too.). This shop was recommended as trustworthy and the car towed in. When the shop heard that the owner was a mechanic serving OS, the car was returned with a bill for parts only.

I have a little 1 litre Tom thumb oil pump and bottle. Takes 4 refills and a bloody heap of pumps to do a partial change. Might have to look into an air fed oil pump to do the job. Would save me some grief!
I have another separate one to do the transfer case and diffs. That's not as bad as they take less bloody oil!
I once was young and keen like you.
There are three stages of amateur maintenance:
1. Pull it apart, clean it, polish it, overhaul it, put it back together, all for the hell of it.
2. Do what has to be done and cannot be postponed any longer.
3. Find a good mechanic and join RACQ.
Now I'm in stage 3 of home mechanics, I fear if I got under the car now, I'd need an engine crane ,or similar to get back up.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Put an air feed into the bottle (I've used a ball inflator needle through to adding a valve stem to the cap) a 10mm hose through a hole in the cap. The hose needs to go to the bottom of the oil bottle. Ridiculous how little oil mess this approach takes. Air on, oil out (bottle bulges out). Used for ATF, gear and diff oils.
