Get out there more..... You reckon you might come to Wombat this year?
Wombat for the win. I’ll be there. Plenty of time to fix the passenger door window. That broke today. The window slid all the way down. A quick stop to remove the door card and push the window up, gaff tape holds it up. The motor seems buggered. Is there a fuse for this or does the motor die? Either way I am in for a new window regulator.

    Cheers all

    Julian

    Another trip tomorrow!

I think the slider might be sticking ?

If you're going to be around Canberra for a few more days ring ACT Brakes in Botany ST Phillip (Woden) and ask for Matt.

He's a member here and a Land Rover tragic, knows brakes and is a really good bloke. But don't tell him I said that.

Went out to the D2 this morning and whilst approaching from the back I thought how clean the diff, rear bumper and rear door looked and that maybe my son had done what he promised he would do and had washed the D2.
With that amount sprayed around I would be inspecting the fuel manifold.

Yours isn't like that Pedro? When were you last under it to check?
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

But no! as i got closer i noticed the rear window glass was all greasy IT"S DIESEL all over and under the rear end!!! What's going on? Fearing the worst i got down under the rear and was relieved to find that the fuel filter had developed a leak at the rolled edge seam - relieved because my son had bought a full set of fluid filters for a service this weekend and this leak could be an easy fix... here's hoping
Update It's worse than first thought - it's not diesel, it's ACE fluid!
One of the two hydraulic lines to the ram has ruptured when it came into contact with the spinning diff prop shaft flange bolts when the anti roll bar link failed whilst i was being adventurous ...you can see the hose in the below pic, and the witness mark on the flange nut.

    Old and new....

edit....how the hell does anybody put pictures up on here???

the photos show up perfect on my phone, in my photos album etc...but always seem to be inverted when I put them up here!!!
tried two different image hosting sites but the image attacher won't let me use the photos as they are too large and it won't resize them but they are straight off a mobile phone camera!!
