Thread: What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

Got the D2 back on the road again...

Replaced rear ACE pipes
Replaced rear anti-roll bar links - the one on the ACE actuator breaking was the cause of all my drama
Replaced ACE pump - the original self destructed after losing all ACE fluid
New serpentine belt
New belt tensioner
Replaced the vacuum hoses on that thing that is connected to the turbo while I was in the area

Filled the ACE fluid up, took it for a drive with lots of rocking to bleed any air.
Got back and had to top up the fluid but a nice turbulence in the reservoir and so far can't see any leaks.

For the first time in a long time it rained out here (only a little bit). More to come hopefully

Yeah she's fine thankfully. Disco was a write off because the chasis got tweaked. Still drove but was crab walking a little.

Had this issue with my D1 recently, then it hit me why it played up and then stopped working.
Replaced the highmount with a std incandescent and all good again.
(ie. CC thought that the brake lights were all busted, so wouldn't come on).

I haven't looked into LEDs for the D2 yet(as mines not yet road going).

But the D1 is different in some ways(park/brake combo, as opposed to the D2's separate units), and I finally got all LEDs other than the highmount.

No, didn’t replace the high mounted stop bulb and haven’t used or tried the cruise control since.
Everything is working fine (so far). The LED indicators did fix the trailer light flashing due to the decrease in power demand.
The trailer light was flashing due to the additional indicators on the bull bar.

Spent a couple of hours prepping the block for the new head then flattening the exhaust manifold

This may start an argument....
Installing a 78c thermostat vs a 82c in my Td5 .... will this impact the ECU or have no real difference? Discuss.
