Is that one of the aluminium desert radiators Philip?
No just a GM brand stock replacement radiator from Mario.
The only "mods" I have are a mesh grille and a new water pump.

The stock radiator is quite adequate as the car ran at mostly under full thermostat opening all the way to Brisbane and the Sunshine coast even in 36-37C. It mostly shows on my aftermarket dry head temp gauge at between 83-84c which I checked is about 2 under the Nanocom temp.

also got the roof leak fixed around the top of the A pillar reason for leak the body there has 3 different bits of metal all meet and 2 of them are not spot welded to the pillar, so cleaned out all the old body filler and injected in to the gaps marine sika flex

now just gotta stop the leak on the passenger floor have sealed the air box vent to the body but half tempted to just block it off and have on reserc all the timeas its the only spot i can see what could possibly get in.

and the other job for the weekend is fit some sound deadner to roof while the linning is out and put the new head linning on the linner
I fitted two of these. Would that help your problem?

My disco has the A pillar roof leak also. Do you have any photos or instructions on how to
    1. Get to it
    2. How to stop it

My skills aren’t good enough to just ‘ give it a go... ‘
eg I need photos or drawings

Been staying in Toowoomba for the last 5 nights,, woke up to head home this morning only to find a very wet, cold and foggy morning,
and in typical LR fashion, when i actually need them I find the drivers side headlight and navs side parker both missing in action.....

oh well it gave me a reason to finally use those foglamps I've been carrying around uselessly for the last 100K kays....

and yes I do actually carry a spare headlamp bulb,,

I wondered why I had 25PSI boost at full noise.
Had a look today and found modulator to wastegate actuator hose had slipped off. Some dork had forgot to replace the spring clip.
Went out and still had 25PSI. WTF?
Had another look and found that the boosted inlet to modulator hose had a split in it. What are the odds?
I can hardly wait to see if there is a third problem.

no i didn't, but it is fairly easy
pull the A pillar trim's off
pull the plastic guard off from around the gutter (the little front bit is the worst bit if its been butchered by windscreen fitters and silicon on like mine had.
then just get small flat head screw drivers and seal picks and start digging out all the seam sealer you can in the gutter back about 100mm and around the edge of the windscreen in that corner (this is where i found 3 or so holes of about 3mm + and could use a screw driver to lift the roof away from the pillar) once you have all the seam sealer out go over it again to make sure then in the holes stick the nozzle of the sikaflex until it oozes out everywhere,
then fill in anywhere else where the seam sealer was smooth it off and let it set.
i did both sides and found the passenger side was much better only had 1 hole where the 3 seams joined and was all together and solid unlike the r/h/s
Also may as well clean up the rust that will be there due to the water leaking as well (i just scraped it clean and used some primer)

also makes it easier if you car is black or white as you can get sika in black and white lol
