Finished wiring up the winch relay and squeezed it under the new dual optima battery holder.

Fortunately 1 of my batteries is an optima red top...unfortunately the dual is an SSB gel battery. The SSB is 10mm higher than the optima so it’s too tall & wont fit! Luckily tho, the SSB is still in the box and is unused. I’m hoping that when I go back to the battery store that they’ll take pity on me and let me swap it for an optima. Fingers crossed.

I’m hoping they’ll go forever - they’re a ***** to get to if I need to service them!

And that my friend is even more reason to swap them out as they will fail when you most need them

Do you have a link for the eBay MAF? I've been going through similar issues with my D2a TD5...

Tried to clean the oily harness, clean the MAP, clean the MAF without success. Although unplugged MAF sensor would reduce the performance which already was poor => so it seems the MAF sensor still working at some degree.

Until tonight, just fitted a new MAF sensor (well, I purchased the MAF sensor on eBay which they indicated to be used for either BMW and Landrover or even Hyundai and Ford for just 1/4 price of the same aftermarket MAF sensor from a well-known local auto shop that I always thought they were very good and low price, ouch!). OMG, she is back. The performance is way better without the disappointed flat spot between 2200-2500 revs, the power is really good in the whole range of revs as what I can feel, and I am very pleased to drive her like a "little" racing car tonight around Sydney.

Can't wait to try some new remap/chips/tuning box.

After a fun time playing in the mud after all my vehicle woes, I got home and found the fuel line has rubbed through and was spraying diesel everywhere. Hooray! Back to the mechanic on Thursday. Catching PT this weekend! My mechanic actually asked if there was anything left that wasn't new...

Hi mate, here you go. Hope you get it sorted. Mine now is tuned with a new plug n play CS2 box (standard setting from their store which claims to be 25% more power and 10% less fuel) and the car goes wild grunt power at low rev between 1000 - 2000
