    Immobilised

Well that was a great failure. Reconnected battery,ECU, BCU after ensuring system fully discharged.
Did not accept EKA. Tried default ( according to an American LR site) 1515. Nothing.
Nanocom Evo cannot connect to ECU/BCU. All fuses related to both checked & all OK.
    Suggestions????

    Immobilsation NO LONGER

Hooray!!!! Engine started, seems all problems now resolved. Almost shelled out for replacement BCU/Instrument Cluster/ RF receiver & Internal fuse box for IDM. One independent LR service provider wanted me to have it transported on tilt tray to his workshop. Would look at it next week.

Careful reading of RAVE, suggested that turn ignition key to position II & leave for 5 minutes so that BCU/IDM/ECU could re-establish link. Then input EKA. Result - now running.

Has anyone noticed that the RAVE EKA procedure & Owners Handbook EKA procedure differ. Take a look.

All that contributed, THANKS for your efforts.

    G'day all,
I've been learning about my D2 for nearly 12 months, after changing country & leaving a 300Tdi behind. I have visiting rights.
I've struggled to maintain reasonable speed up any incline.
    Have also been subsidizing APEC.
I've followed Aulro member sagas on sensors & turbos.
Indie service mech changed out faulty MAF & wastegate modulator. Claimed all others OK.
Nanocom - a new investment - showed minimal boost - MAP reading 0.
MAP out....filthy, tried to clean...Nanocom said no change.
Yesterday new MAP fitted....I have a new car.
Faster off the mark, smoother operation & now climbs hills
Happiness is a TD5 with correct boost

Next step is to remove EGR

    Cheers,
    Don
    That's great.
Don't assume removing the EGR will automatically make it better. They are tuned to run with an EGR.

    Charles, that's great to hear!

As a matter of interest, where did you get 255 from for Hexadecimal "F-1"?
(Referring here to your post #5558
(....."It would be tedious attempting to enter the previous code, "255" in each of the 4 fields. Seems improbable I know, when the number according to RAVE is a number between 1 & 16....))

The number 255 is "FF" in Hexadecimal notation.
I don't think that "F-1" (which you said Nanocom reported for each EKA position) is actually a valid Hexadecimal number, so it's a mystery to me what Nanocom was intending it to represent.

    Cheers, Andrew

The odometer turned over to 409000km today and the Catch Can Pro which has now been installed for 8000km is doing its job and has scavenged a total of 150ml of oil from the crankcase ventilation gases in that time which averages out to 18.75ml per 1000kms.

What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

Hi All, couple of questions before I consult Rave....
Do I need to do any reboot or syncing when I install a new MAF?
What is Size of the grease nipples on the rear drive shaft... I snapped one off when I last greased it about 6 months ago and may as well replace it when I do a service...

    Thanks in advance...
Also thanks to RoverLord for the parts ...

    No
Have no idea but probably metric. Buy one of each and compare threads when you dig out the old one.

I think that's what I did in the past, IIRC they are metric.

I have developed a hole/leak in the exhaust of my D2a V8 and it really sounds like Crap, Off she goes to the exhaust shop on Monday.
Why is it that these things always seem to appear just before you plan on heading off for a few days of R&R
