Started fitting the new harmonic balancer today, had to remove the radiator as the torque wrench wouldnt fit. Good fun

My transfer case did not leak a drop to around 180,000. I.was beginning to wonder if I had actually purchased a Land Rover...

I finally replaced one of the the rego lights today.
What a pain. I used an easy out thing to remove the three torx screws that hold the dooe latch in place. They came out with the drill part of the easy out. Removing the lock mechanism was a royal pain in the arse. More of that later. I removed the lighting harness and took that indoors for some solder and spade connector love. Trying to fit the sealing gasket!!! I think I need to revisit that as it is not quite on properly.
As for the lights, one is LED the other is incandescent. I have looked for the LED but....
Trying to get the latch back in. Had a good look. The screw that holds the rego plate gets in the way. I loosened the screw and the latch went in smoothly.
As I was doing this I locked the rear door and had to clamber over the rear seats. I went to fold the rear seat fowards and broke then that plastic bit you lift to unlatch the seat. I Yiy Yiy!!!
Any way the door is back together and the lights all work. Go me!!![]()
