Just fitted new 2nd radio antenna. Have a nice weekends mates

PS: actually I fitted a much smaller 2nd radio antenna for my Android headunit headunit which has dual antenna booster for FM and AM, so it uses signal from both factory antenna and new 2nd antenna to give clearer radio station signal.

When you do the EGR delete, there is the option of removing the EGR cooler on some models. The hoses from the oil cooler to the EGR cooler comes of the back of the oil cooler. You blank this, and the return to the reservoir, at the reservoir end. You end up removing hose and metal pipe and hos and hose and end up with the oil cooler blanked and the reservoir blanked, both easy to see if they are leaking.
In my case, the pipe is still there, it goes behind the engine, and for me it fell into the too hard or cannot be buggered basket.

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.

I'll leave the heat shield off for a few days and see it the leak has stopped.

I modified the heat shield to ease removal and fitting.

You leave the bolt in pace and just tighten and loosen as needed.
Glad you found it reasonably easily, that's a clever way of sorting the exhaust shield. I might have gone over kill and as some of the rivet's were ripping away on mine I drilled them all out and replaced them with rivnuts and bolts.

Did a little sneaky, cheeky nugget run to the SA Border near Mt Gambier. 800 odd kms, 91/2 hours with breaks. No loss of coolant. Yay a win.
But bugger me sideways. The rocker cover gasket that was replaced in Dec 2019 has some weeping on the inlet side. All the bolts were tightened with a torque wrench. The gasket was an OEM one, I think.
Any suggestions on how to remedy this? Use a genuine gasket? etc?

I've replaced some of mine with washers and rivets.

One reason for blanking the oil cooler on a P10 (pre 2002) Td5 is that Land Rover modified the radiator design and the uppermost of the two hose small connectors at the bottom of the side tank was blanked off therefore making the hose connected to it dead, that is no flow is possible On the P10 engine, that hose connects back to the oil cooler via a metal pipe around the back of the engine and then a short connecting hose to the oil cooler. That connector is notorious for rupturing - so I thought it better to delete the dead circuit.
Here’s my go at it .... a random piece of 20mm silicone hose offcut and brass plumbing bits to blank it off.

My boys took the big girl with yaks on the roof fishing. Love how you can get 2 fat yaks side by side on the roof. The V8 sounded good at 3.45am. They reckon it ran nicely. Cheers
