My D2 just bought a lunch for the Castrol CEO and used up all my spare filters - air, both oil, fuel and autobox. New engine, diff (front and rear), transfer case and gearbox oils along with PAS and ACE fluids. All that's left to do is to change the brake fluid.
I also changed the coolant from some anonymous brown stuff to plain water a few times with about 30km's between changes and then put some pretty red Nulon OAT coolant in it. I think the brown stuff may have been Nulon One but I can't be sure hence the flushing and change.
At least all the old oils and fluids appeared to be in good condition with no nasties on the drain plugs.
When the finances have recovered a bit I'll get in Mario's ear for a bunch of filters.

After attempting to go a service on the new beast, I discovered the previous owner stripped the oversize thread out of the plug hole and no room left to go up a size, I decided to bite the bullet get a whole new sump thanks to triumph rover spares (amazing place could spend a fortune there) and now I'm tackling the job of doing the sump gasket and sump. Plus side is found that it was leaking anyway so it is a job that had to be done anyway.
Thankfully found afew threads on the job, so thanks everyone.

I recently changed my sump gasket - few tips:
* Safe lifting - leave the wheels on the ground and use axle stands under chassis rails, as well as the bottle jack and/ or a redeem stump in place of the bump stops to support the car. Then you're doubly safe.
* Check and re-Loctite-blue the oil pressure relief valve on the bottom of the oil pump. Mine was all the way in but not tight!
* Replace the oil pump bolt as usual.
* I used the cotton thread trick to hold the gasket on the sump in place, plus 4 cable ties to help lift / position the sump.
PS: The TD5 twin filters plus good semi or full synthetic oil really keep the sump clean - this was mine after 10 Years / 120,000 Km between gasket changes. Not a trace of gunk.
