Mounted an ARB onboard air compressor under my drivers seat. Will finish the wiring tomorrow. What should have been a 1/2 day job is turning into 2 days. I was cutting a square out if the carpet fit the compressor to properly sit on the floor when my extremely sharp pocket knife decided to enter my hand. Resulted in a trip to the emergency dept for stitches! There really is blood & sweat in this car. No tears tho, real men don't cry (except every time I see another bill for this car!)

got through 10 days and about 600 kms with a dry rocker cover and surrounds.

without speaking too soon, it looks like take 2 on my gasket fix worked. I'm putting it down to the new rubber grommets.

Now to do the same on the sump

What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

    mmm.......
    Whistling Dixie!
Found one of the nuts on top of the manifold and remember picking a nut up about three weeks ago on the garage floor!!!

Put them back on torqued them up and I'll keep an eye on them over the next few weeks. Top one had a recoil threaded in so not 100% it'll hold??

Ahh, the famous TD5 warped manifold trick. Hate to say it, but it probably won't last. Lots of stuff on here about it. I'd pull it, replace all the studs, with M10 at each end at least, machine the face of the manifold and get it ceramic coated. Sounds like a lot, I know, but it's better than trying to drill out a broken stud. Ask me how I know

Unless you plan on pulling the head off any time soon, you'd be well advised to read the various threads on here and act soon.

    Just my opinion, of course.

Oh. Just I have a spare manifold I would have 'lent' you, to save downtime. Last year I could have pretty much dropped it in, now not so much.
