Without wading through all the guff, I guess this means GPS in Australia or satellite ground stations. So don't go near any big satellite dishes as the car will probably stop.

315 is used in the USA for central locking but was changed in Australia way back in 200? .

Mate I do recall the dealer saying it was both late D1 and early D2. Mine was manufactured right at the end of the D2 before the headlight update model. Cheers

Interestingly the dealer told me that LR went to the higher frequency to avoid perceived interference potentials but he had never seen an earlier model afflicted by interference but had seen quite a few later models stopped by Amcal's product scanners. I have now owned the D2 for some 17 or 18 years since the change over and never had further issues in that time. Cheers

Mine is a MY00, late 99 build. Maybe that's why the thing is so bloody minded, it's got it's freqs muddled...

Nah, Ian, I'm talking about the D2, although I'm not certain that it's "compliant" in any sense.

    Service Season

It is service season fr the D2. I like to do the service when the weather is warmer. Today it is 15C overcast with showers! A look in the [arts cupboard gave a pleasant surprise as I forgot I bought 3 Mahle air filters in one lump last year. The cupboard also had the fuel filter and both oil filters. The coolant was down about 300mL. I think the reservoir cap is not sealing properly, I get coolant dripping out the overflow.

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.

IMG_20230106_234159.jpg Finally made a start on fitting the V8 torque converter, was cursing myself at the amount of time it took to make up the carrier, no fabrication legend that's for sure, let's not even go anywhere near my (lack of) welding ability.

But once done and put to use beats the haphazard blocks of wood/straps/motorbike lifts etc vids I saw on youtube.

IMG_20230106_234653.jpg The TC has been changed at some point but wasn't noted in the documentation/work invoices that came with the vehicle.

IMG_20230106_225155.jpg Had to improvise to pull it back off the engine, should have done that first instead of using my non existent muscles. Doesn't help with rough concrete and car facing down the slope, guess it will just roll itself right into the engine on the install !

So at some point when I get it back together I will blat around with the stock tune pushing it for a few weeks and see how it performs and whether it is tolerable as far as moving off the line goes.
