He's referring to the D2a facelift headlights.
They can be removed in under 5 seconds per side by a skilled thief.
But this is Australiano one wants to steal land rover gear here!

only reason someone would steal land rover parts is if they mistook it for a jeep or land cruiser

Quite possibly but there's not the market for them.
People in the UK have gone to the effort of laser etching VIN numbers into them in case they're stolen. There's also weld in plates to go from facelift lights to pre facelifts.
Have even heard of insurance companies insisting on people installing lockable collards on their driveways in order to get insurance.
Crazy.
Anyway, off to get bits for my facelift retrofit
