Thanks Disco W.A. I failed the check the obvious test

Think I'll be contacting Mann-Hummel Australia.

The Americans seem to like inflating there shipping charges, USD70 for shipping

And then you could just remove the old duck bill and........silicon the bloody hole up.

If that much water is getting into your air box then you have got some bigger problems elsewhere.

Mine has been sealed off for a few years now and there have been no problems except for a poor design on the snorkel(it was forward facing, extended the snorkel and made it rear facing) which has now been addressed and no problems since.

    Cheers,

    Jason

    An update on this.

Although Microcat doesn't list the valve as a part on the Discovery Td5, it is listed on the Defender Td5.

    Part number PKS100140, about $20.

I still haven't gotten around to getting one yet

yup I'm the same ..... for 6 years as a temporary measure I've been using a 38mm rubber table leg tip in place of the valve. I took it off just now to check the accumulated contents and there is about 3mm of dust, pollen and bugs and no evidence of water.
