Thread: throttle response question

OK first off. Do you have a TD5?

If so, yes there are things you can do similar to what you have asked about but.......

First remove the sensor located in the centre top of the intake manifold. It is black and held in with 2X 8mm bolts / screws.

Clean the sensor with something, I have used spray can degreaser many times successfully. By the time you have finished you should see a tiny gold coloured hole in the bottom.

Put it sensor back in the intake manifold and go for a drive. I'll bet you will notice the difference. If you are still not satisfied with the result than go down the path of aftermarket stuff.

Thanks for that yes its a TD5 and i have removed the egr fitted a thru down pipe , cleaned the sensor , boost gauge is sitting at 15psi ,, thats not what I'm after the car goes fast enough ,,,,its the LINER action of the throttle pedal . Its like pushing down a 3 foot long leaver ,,,
Its a programming issue with land rover ,
