True, but design rules have changed what was then was then. One could say the same about the Steel dash pads on the XM falcon and EH Holden then after they started to put padded crash pads on the dashes as design rules and safety changed. It must have something to do with occupant safety???

    Yeah really
If some are so worried about a bit of metal on a console im sure when they ride a motor bike on the road they are wearing all the appropriate safety gear and not short`s and t/shirt`s it is just as important if not more than a bit of metal on a console

Funny... around town that seems so hypocritical... the Lycra brigade usually get around town as fast as the motorbikes and no-one suggests a full set of Kevlar or leathers...skinning a leg or arm just hurts - and I certainly wouldn't be riding with a slither of sharp metal next to my leg...

Adding something potentially dangerous when there are alternatives that have looks without risk seems pretty unusual..

Adding a resonating piece of metal to the centre console for things to rattle on seems unusual..

Adding a heat conductor there also seems unusual..

That`s so funny that you can compare lycra wearing idiots to fools on motorbikes not wearing safety gear to a bit of metal on a console .
But you condone one of them and dont see any danger in it and have even justified it in your opinion :angel
Difference is a push bike weigh`s nothing im not saying lycra clad tools are ok but a motor bike is up to 300 kg`s , Have that on you when some tool in a car cut`s you off you wont be laughing then my friend .
And you dont know what i have done or seen in my life but i will tell you one thing and i know for sure what will happen to you if you do have the unfortunate experience and god forbid so please dont brag or try and defend you actions honestly it is not a healthy out come for all invovled so please think twice .
Really what you condone is just plain hypocritical .
    Spare me the excuse`s please.

    Hi Ritcho,

How did you go with this?

Would love to see some pictures if you’ve got any to share.

Stumbled across this online however upon enquirer, it’s only available in left hand drive.
