    Washing engine

    i want to get under my DISCO 2TDi and give the engine a good degrease and wash. just wanted to know, how do other people tackle this job and with what chemicals, and do you use a high pressure cleaner or just a garden hose

    engine wash

    Hi I just use a good engine degreaser give the affected areas a good soaking leave it for about five minutes than hose of with a garden hose. I do own a pressure wash but I believe rightly or wrongly that the high pressure wash can damage seals and create more problems hope this helps.

    I use 1 or 2 cans of supercheap degreaser, then a garden pressure sprayer with truck wash (CT-18) and liberally cover whole engine bay and engine, then wash with a garden hose with a twist nozzle closed right do to form a high pressure cone type jet which can be slid into all the nooks and crannies ....

    Excellent result!
