    Titan drawers

Has anyone installed the 4wd supacentre titan drawers in the back of their d2?

the shortest ones are 900 mm and the cargo space is approx 850 mm with the second row seats still in.

Thinking second row seats might need to come out. Then may as well put in the longer drawers.

Thoughts and and pics of anyone who has them and has installed appreciated.

You will also have to take into account the trim on the back door, Otherwise it won't close properly.
From memory the larger sizes are too wide to fit between the wheel arches.
I removed all the rear seats out of my D2 as I never used them and it gives you Heaps of room, Not to mention the amount of weight you take off the rear springs as well.
I have ordered a set of the Titan 900mm Prado draws but they won't arrive until next Month So I can't comment on how good/bad they are yet But the other gear that I have bought from that 4wd supercentre has exceeded my expectations So I am pretty confident that the draws will be "Fit for purpose".

After waiting 2 months, My set of 900mm Titan drawers arrived in Perth on Friday so they should arrive here in Geraldton Monday or Tuesday.
I will fit them and take a couple of piccies when they finally get here.

I have fitted a set in my D2a, i wrote a post in the AULRO FB page, do a search for Steven Spurrier and you should find it.

I reveresed both tops as in their standard configuration they had too much overhang at the front.

They are an absolute bargain and i'm extremely happy with the build quality, the only negative is their weight.
    Cheers

    Steve

After much Blood Letting I finally go my drawers fitted.
Don't rely on the front tie downs to mount these as they are not as wide as the rear ones and they end up being pretty much useless, Something I didn't check before.
Anyway they do fit in nicely an I still have heaps of room in front of them.

I feel like that last picture, with the smattering of tools and can of WD40 behind the seats epitomises land rover ownership :P

    HeHe
That's part of the Fun owning a landrover
I have put most of the stuff that I don't use that often in the drawers, Like recovery gear, tyre repair stuff, spares, electrical fittings and that sort of thing and I will keep my air compressor, tyre deflator and a grab bag of tools behind the front seats in that handy depression that is there after I removed seats 3,4 and 5 so that I can just open the back passenger door and grab them when I want to use them.
So much tidier now and even though the drawers take up quite a bit of space I seem to have more room

I went for a run down to a local beach which involved a fair bit of limestone track work and the latch that holds the fridge slide kept letting go So I'm off to Bunnings to find something that will do the job properly.
The latch supplied by Titan is Bloody useless, Other than that all seems to be Good with the draws setup.
Also if you are going to fit these drawers make sure you put a spanner and an allan key over every nut and bolt, Especially the nuts that hold the bearings in place for the drawers as I found a couple of them were loose.

This is what I came up with to replace the nasty and flimsy piece of crap latch that came with the drawers.
Less than $3 from Bunnings and 10 min work, Keeping to the K.I.S.S principle this wont come undone and it wont fall to bits either

I'm in the process of fitting mine. The 900mm drawers just fit with the rear seats in place. Using the tie down bolts to fasten the rear of the unit and the dickie seat bolt holes to lock down the front. The bin on the back door has to come off the door card of course. The drawer tops will have to be shortened by 20mm as they are a tad too long, but as they are made from plywood, it's not an issue.
