Thanks again John, I'll discuss it with the wheel aligner. I've watched him work, he spends a few extra minutes to do the job properly and is no fan of rattle guns.

Rattle guns have a place. It's not on the front end though.

Absolutely. The parts car I had that you got the ACE pump off had nuts so bad I had to hammer on a 28mm socket. I use my gun and a single hex impact socket to spin them off once loosened. Same in reverse then tighten by hand. Single hex only.

Changed our D2 from 2degrees in to 1 degree out 3 years ago due to "feathering" all its life. Very happy with the result, tyres now wear even.

Mine was set “toe in” by a tyre shop and the steering was always “hunting”. Took it back and they said it’s correct to the vehicle spec. Then I went to a suspension specialist who told me that a D2 should be toe out. He set mine to 0 degrees static and said that it’ll go the right amount of toe out when rolling. That was 13 years ago, and a couple if sets if tyres later. I check and adjust the alignment my self now and have no abnormal tyre wear and the vehicle tracks well.

    From RAVE WORKSHOP MANUAL
    GENERAL DATA>STEERING>page 04-14 :-
Toe out Front is 0 degrees 10 minutes +|- 0 degrees 10 minutes (total)

1 degree = 60minutes and degrees and minutes can be converted to mm and for a 16” Wheel it is 0.9mm which is measured at the outer edge of the wheel rim - not the tyre.

Hope this helps - NB: I’m likely duplicating Tin’s contribution but I cannot open his attachment.

Hmm... odd, it's simply a link to a thread on here.
