There is a clip on the car on the firewall side of the tank, you can push that back a bit to release that part of the tank. The clip is wide and painted the car colour. Check with epoxy as it may not stick to the plastic. Some epoxies won't to some plastics.

Thanks for those links. I'll be ordering from 4X4 as soon as I can if I can't get one from the wreckers, but today everyone is not working! Can't blame them. Removing the tank was remarkably easy - just pops out. There's a surprise. I found that the little pipe (that goes to a thing behind the fan, fuel cooler,I suppose,) has a crck about 3mm below where it comes out the tank. I think the hose has been replaced at some time and being a bit short always put a sideways pull on the pipe until it gave up. I found some plastic tube which i slid over the broken pipe up to the tank bottom and it covers the fracture. Clamped the hose back on and it's not leaking at present. An unconfident temporary fix.

After 100km, 650 towing the van all is well and no coolant lost. Might be a permanent fix but if I locate a good 2nd handy I'll use it.
