Just wondering if there was much interest in the SLS height controller and/or a vehicle speed corrector for different size tyres?
Functionally the circuits are pretty much the same so we could produce a single board and program for either function, it would also be pretty feasible to make a single board to do both.
I made the height controller mostly in accordance with the schematic on the net ( Fritzing
Project – Land Rover Discovery 2 SLS height controller ) a month ago, but did significantly modify the code to tighten up the PWM accuracy.
The speedo correction would I believe also be applicable to P38 as well.
I know some have the Truspeed device here, and I did search around for it. It would appear not to be available anymore, sites that look like it might be orderable from I suspect will probably say they don't have it once ordered.
SLS Height controller possible features:
- Bluetooth link and control app (Android & iOS (eventually)). I didn't have time to do this when I mashed up my veroboard one, but was something I was considering as it allowed height control from anywhere, rather than the hardwired version I have at the moment.
- Timed lock to max or min height
- ?
Speedo corrector possible features:
- Different outputs to Speedo, ECM and other systems?
- Bluetooth link and control app, switch settings etc.
- direct pass through on failure.
No idea of price for them, I don't expect we'd be making too many of them, so probably cost price + some beer tokens.
We also have an EGT gauge on the go at the moment, we had clunky version which used a 16x2 LCD and also a gucci version on a 3.5" OLED. The OLED version is try and put a really easily mountable EGT gauge together. The current version stores max ever, max session and alarm values, the LCD version also allowed temperature range configuration as well. That might eventually make it to a purchasable product if anyone was interested.

						Does it work though?
From reading around the current signal is 8000 pulses per km (I think that is right, but it's not important for discussion) and a 1HZ diagnostic pulse signal. Apparently it's the 1Hz pulse that catches most of these out, the truspeed being one that actually passed or generated it.
TBH, I don't really want to go through the effort of programming one up, but looking around it didn't look like there was an off the shelf option at the moment.
Let me know how you get on.
A couple of other forumites that I asked said it seemed to work ok. I'll let u know after I've found a day that I can dedicate to this installation!

Just a few threads about the C6100 unit, it has been mistakenly called a C6400 as well.

Thank u so much for the link. That'll save me helps if time fiddling around with numbers & switch settings.
I said to hunter that if he advertised better that he'd probably sell 1000 of those units...no reply!

I am installing mine this weekend. Same install as trusted.

For the last 10 years or so I have had trucks with oversized tyres and the speedo has been out so I have just used the GPS and I haven't had a speeding ticket driving these yet.

Interested in the SLS control option only, would be great for car park access if you could lock it down in case you go over the lower speed limit. Can this be done??
