    Driver's window.

My window has become temperamental, sometimes jamming.
Investigations revealed half a plastic roller in the bottom of the door. Presumably from where the regulator connects to the glass.
A: Can this be bought as a part?
B: Could I fabricate one from alloy or have a new one 3D printed. Is it riveted in place? Is there enough clearance to affix the replacement with a nylock nut and bolt?

There are several ways to fix this.
    Buy a new regulator
    make a rectangular slider
    make a brass roller
The pin - axle is welded on, or friction fitted. You will need to remove the pin and weld it back on.
I decided that it is not possible to use a nylock nut and bolt. The size of the hole is the same size as the pin-axle.

Have a look at this. The easiest option.

I've now retrieved the other half of the roller from the regulator and the window works fine without a roller. I will turn eight out of brass.

It's only the front one that breaks. And only after a lot of use, generally the driver's side. Make up 8 and sell the surplus :-)
