???? logic says every drip that leaks out is a drip that is not going to the engine to be burnt and turned to motion. Motion = distance however small.
Last time I fueled up I had travelled 620km for 69L in my manual D2, mainly doing peak hour commutes via a freeway that might be listed as having a top speed of 100, but is known to be prone to having sections where you are lucky to get above third gear.
By my maths this equates to a bit more than 11L per 100km
Is this normal for a TD5?
The above was achieved whilst my pressure regulator continued to drip in its usual frustrating fashion, anyone want to comment on how much the overdue replacement that I keep putting off will effect the above figures?

Soooo...
*calculating fuel consumption really doesnt make any sense with fuel leaking out of the fuel system
*whats the problem?
*are you comparing 11L/100km to what?
*has fuel consumption gone radically bad?
*have you had the disco long?
if we are talking fuel consumption in the suburbs for an average size 4x4 common rail turbo diesel engine.... then there is nothing to complain about with 11L/100KM.
In general terms, the TD5 engine is quite fuel efficient.

Yep thats what i get 11l/100k's much better than 14 for my Patrol! My fuel regulator is leaking again, just replaced the regulator itself not the whole assembly so hoping it's just the gasket leaking. Still a pain!
